Fruits And Nuts - Best Bets For Healthy Snacks!

Obesity is quickly becoming a big dilemma for many people worldwide, especially in western countries. More people are dying from obesity related health problems, such as diabetes and heart attacks, more than ever before! Thankfully, there are a number of ways to reduce these excess fats and the best way is to target the types of foods you consume on a daily basis! Fruits and nuts are great to help you lose weight, and in this article, I am going to share with you some of the very best foods to help you lose weight.

Other than being able to help you lose weight, fruits also contain many essential minerals and vitamins. Also, they do not have any trans-fats or cholesterol, and are cheap to buy by the bulk! Fresh fruits are also usually very sweet and tasty, making it not only great for weight loss purposes, but also very palatable to our taste buds!

Nuts are high in proteins and low in carbohydrates. Similar to fruits, they contain high amounts of fiber, and will aid in making us feel full only with a small amount. This is a good way to control our appetite.

So what are the best fruits and nuts to eat to help us in losing weight?
The first fruit I am going to share with you is apples! They are extremely high in fiber and are crunchy and sweet to the taste. Not only does apple help you keep the doctor away, it also helps you keep the excess fats away!

If you were to work out, bananas are a great food to provide you with energy, but do not contribute to potential fat gains. They are also high in fiber, and are easily absorbed by the body to use as 'fuel' for your exercise routines!

Next, acidic fruits like oranges are useful in helping to increase your metabolism rate, and therefore helping to burn more calories passively.

Some of my favorite nuts to eat to lose weight include unbleached pistachios and baked almonds. Both of them are extremely high in protein content, and low in fats and sodium. These types of nuts serve as fantastic foods to snack on whenever we get food cravings.

Finally, I hope you realize that having occasional craving for snacks is perfectly normal and that there is no need to feel guilty about that. In fact, just remember that the next time you get such a similar craving, just grab a fruit or a handful of healthy nuts and start munching away without worrying about getting fat!
